Our Cost Managers work proactively, providing contemporary cost advice at all stages of the project lifecycle giving clients confidence in budgetary control and decision making. We use up-to-date cost data, extensive commercial experience and collaborative relationships with suppliers to develop realistic budgets whatever the stage of the project.

We are comfortable with all approaches to procurement and administering and reporting upon the competitive process, whether that be via collaborative approaches such as two stage tenders and early contractor involvement or through negotiation, or more traditionally aligned, including single stage tenders and bills of quantities.

A proactive and meticulous approach is taken to the post-contract phase ensuring that clients benefit from accurate projections of outturn cost, timely financial statements and cost certainty.

We offer funding institutions or private individuals project monitoring services, designed on a bespoke basis to tailor due diligence and risk control levels to meet their individual needs.

Bro Tathan Economic Development Programme

In early 2019 Burroughs were appointed by the Welsh Government to provide Programme, Project and Cost Management and Civil and Structural Engineering support for the development of Bro Tathan. Bro Tathan forms part of the Cardiff Airport and St Athan Economic Zone which has been earmarked for significant investment and development.

DSFRS

Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS) identified the need to review and remediate the drainage systems at all of its fire stations in order to comply with current water authority regulations. To tackle this significant task DSFRS appointed Burroughs following open (OJEU) tender, as the consultancy for the project. Burroughs were to provide Design, Project Management, Cost Management and Contract Administration services.
