Stadium Plaza

Burroughs were appointed by the owners of the Millennium Plaza development to provide Contract Administration and Cost Management services for the enabling works required to prepare an existing and recently vacated area for a new tenant.

The works comprised the stripping out of an existing bar and night club demise together with relevant remedial works and the construction of new partitions and installation of first fix mechanical and electrical items to provide a “shell” area, suitable for the bespoke fit out by the new tenant.

The works were complicated by two issues; firstly the site having limited access for the removal of debris and for the delivery of new materials and, secondly, having to maintain the operational capabilities of the other tenants, which included a cinema operator, who had particular concerns over the noise levels generated during the strip out works. The issues were overcome by working closely with the local authority and setting up a series of liaison meetings with all the existing tenants to explain the operations and by programming the work activities appropriately.
