On 30th September Burroughs had the privilege of attending the grand opening event of Bro Tathan Business Park and the associated Northern Access Road. The opening took place to promote the Welsh Government owned, Cardiff Airport operated, development. Bro Tathan was previously a military airfield which switched to civilian control on 1 April 2019, paving the way for opportunity and growth. Burroughs have been heavily involved in the transition, as Highway Designer for the St Athan Northern Access Road enabling entry to the Business Park as well as being engaged in the Project Mangement and Design for integral changes to the airfield and surrounding site. Bro Tathan is already home to a large Aston Martin facility with plentiful space offering scope for further development, ideally located in close proximity to the active airfield, along with Cardiff International Airport and the capital.

Guest Speaker Ken Spakes praised the site which would “create many sustainable jobs over the coming years” before being taken for a spin in Aston Martin’s brand new DBX. Click here to see what Bro Tathan Business Park has to offer in a short promotional video.
