Jersey Pottery

Burroughs were engaged by Dandara Homes to undertake the detailed design of the highway and drainage systems for the re-development of the former Jersey Pottery site.

The project comprised detailed design and specification of the internal roadways, footpaths, alignments and profiles, surface water drainage and attenuation and foul drainage. Part of the site comprised an apartment unit with under croft parking.

Significant project interests included the heavily constrained surface water outfall, limiting the discharge flow and possible depth of upstream drainage.  This was overcome with creative application of sub-base replacement crates which had to be fully justified for use with robust risk assessment and drainage simulations demonstrating that risk was at an acceptable level.
