Cardiff Airport – Infrastructure Project

Following the purchase of Cardiff Airport by the Welsh Government, the airport has embarked on a series of improvements designed to enhance the passenger experience and to encourage more travellers to make Cardiff Airport their airport of choice. Part of the improvements involved the re-configuration of the internal road network to provide improved passenger access to the Airport and car parks.

The project included the replacement of the existing car park control equipment and the introduction of a number of new safety measures to enhance passenger’s safety when transferring between the car parks and the main terminal building. A hard landscaping scheme to improve the appearance of an area immediately outside of the main terminal building was undertaken.

Burroughs acted in the capacity of Project Manager and Cost Manager for the scheme. We managed the work of the main Civil Engineering Contractor and also integrated into the works a number of specialist Contractors who were employed directly by Cardiff Airport.
